Super Tuesday 2013

The annual Super Tuesday bike count will take place on March 5th. The count records the number of cyclist passing through different  intersections between 7am and 9am.  The data collected allows for better planning of cycle facilities as well as the need for more provision for cyclists with the growth in the numbers.

Counts are conducted within a number of metropolitan and regional councils in Victoria, NSW and WA, including the City of Greater Geelong.

The count is conducted by voiluteers and co-ordinated by Bicycle Network Victoria.  Volunteers can register on the BNV website here.  A volunteer can select from the remaining available count sites and can nominate a supporting organisation for a $50 donation on their behalf.  So help out and volunteer as a counter, and don’t forget to nominate Bicycle Users Geelong Inc.!
