Parkiteer at Marshall

Parkiteer behind Marshall Station signA new Parkiteer bike storage cage has been installed at the Marshall railway station as part of a station upgrade.  The cage provides secure undercover parking for upto 30 bikes.

As with Parkiteers already installed at other stations around Victoria, including Geelong and South Geelong, usage of the cage is free.  Users must register and pay a $50 deposit to receive an access card that will allow them to enter the cage.

A recent improvement to the Parkiteer system allows users to park at any Parkiteer cage instead of only at the cage they register for.  This new arrangement will be trialed for 6 months, but will become permanent if there are no issues.

The Parkiteer cage is a welcome addition to the otherwise minimal bicycle parking available at the Marshall Station.   Be aware that V/Line now asks that bikes only be parked in the Parkiteer cage or at the small number of bike parking rails provided.
