About and Contact

Bicycle Users Geelong Inc. is the cycling advocacy group for the Geelong Region.

What if you could ride anywhere around Geelong because it was fun, safe and completely comfortable… This is our dream – biketopia Geelong.

We do anything that will get local authorities such as VicRoads and City of Greater Geelong to improve the provide infrastructure for people who ride and for the people who want to ride.

Our committee are dedicated volunteers – some love to ride, others just ride for utility. We meet monthly to plan, plot and scheme.

New contributors are needed –  biketopia is only achieveable with your help. Email or message us on facebook.  More about our history.

Our objectives are:

  • To improve conditions for all people who ride.
  • To promote riding to the general public.
  • To advocate for the needs of riders in the Geelong region.
  • To facilitate and improve communication on cycling matters in Geelong between riders, organisations and government bodies.

Meetings

Bicycle Users Geelong holds regular meetings usually on the first or second Sunday evening of each month (check the front page for the next meeting date). At these meetings we report on actions taken to get more people on bikes, moan about the establishment, dream about what might be and plot a way to make change happen.

We’d love you to come along. Contact Brett (0400 961 082) for the meeting address or info@bicycleusersgeelong.org.au.

The BUG Annual General Meeting is held in October.
